Risk disclosure

Leverage risk. Trading perpetual futures with leverage carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. Prices can move quickly, positions can be liquidated, and you can lose all of the margin you commit. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

Synthetic exposure. Stock, ETF, forex and commodity markets on AtlasPerp are perpetual contracts that track the price of the underlying asset. They do not give you ownership of shares, currencies or commodities, voting rights or dividends. These markets follow exchange sessions and their prices can gap when trading resumes.

Self-custody and technology risk. AtlasPerp is a non-custodial interface. You are responsible for your wallet, private keys and every transaction you sign. Smart contracts, blockchains, oracles and cross-chain infrastructure are audited but may still fail or be exploited.

No advice; your responsibility. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and past performance does not guarantee future results. You are responsible for making sure that using AtlasPerp is lawful where you live. AtlasPerp must not be used in violation of applicable laws or sanctions. See the Terms of Service.

Three prices, three jobs

PriceWhat it isUsed for
Index priceA volume-weighted average from major spot exchanges, with safeguards against outliers. The reference value of the asset.
Mark priceA fair price derived from the index, the order book and the funding rate.Unrealized PnL, margin and liquidation.
Last priceThe price of the most recent trade on AtlasPerp.Display only, never liquidation.

How PnL is calculated

Formulas

Unrealized PnL = position size × (mark price − average entry price)

Realized PnL = closed size × (exit price − average entry price)

Position value (notional) = position size × mark price

For short positions the size is negative, so a falling price produces a profit. Trading fees are charged in USDC on every fill and are included in your average entry price.

Settling PnL

Realized profit and loss is first recorded as unsettled. Settling moves it into your balance so that it can be withdrawn. It does not change your positions or your margin ratio. Select Settle PnL in Portfolio before withdrawing profits.
